Statement from the New Jersey Department of Health on CDC Recommendations for Pfizer COVID-19 Booster. The CDC recommended that Pfizer recipients who completed their initial COVID-19 vaccine series can get a booster shot at five months instead of six months, and that moderately or severely immunocompromised children ages 5 to 11 can receive a third dose 28 days after their second shot.
